Generally, karaoke machines have a microphone input replete with Video CD, CD+G, Laser Disc, et al. Some places that offer karaoke have KTV, which is karaoke with the ability to display video lyrics.

Karaoke machines possess equipment to electronically alter the music’s pitch, allowing the user to pick a key appropriate for his or her vocal range without any change in the tempo of the original track. Ice Machines

Advantages of Using Ice Machines in the Catering Business

Executive Summary by Anna Stenning

The advantages of having ice machines in a bar or at home is that you are guaranteed freshly made ice cubes in a matter of minutes or seconds. As much as people find it fun to freeze up their own ice cubes, ice machines make it that much more efficient, with some machines producing as much as 10kg of ice per hour!

Bars and pubs all use ice machines on a daily basis. Both the industrial and domestic machines can churn out various types of ice cubes, such as crystal clear ice cubes, different shaped ice and ultra hard ice cubes. The quality of the ice cube is important for some bars and restaurants. Crystal ice cubes are considered high quality ice cubes, because they are produced through processed moving water, whereas cloudy ice cubes are produced from unprocessed water which hardens very quickly. Ice machines can be built-in, plumbed in, placed on a tabletop or come portable.

Purchase the Best Commercial Ice Machine For Your Operation - And Your Soda

Executive Summary by Ashley Howard

Soda fountains, restaurants, bars, hotels and many other food and beverage service establishments likely have their very own commercial ice machines. These are not your typical home-refrigerator ice makers. Just think how many ice-cold cherry sodas that could make!

Air cooled or water cooled? What size machine is right? Here's another fact: not all ice comes in cubes. Ice can come in nuggets, flakes, chips, contour cubes and more. Most ice machines produce one of the following three types of ice:

- Cube ice. Cube ice is the most common ice in restaurant and bar beverages. - Nugget ice. Many people recognize it as the ice Sonic® restaurants use. This ice is compressed with a higher water-content than cube ice, so it absorbs flavors better and cools liquid quickly. People love nugget ice for its soft, chewable texture.

- Flake Ice. Flake ice tends to find its home in grocery store deli display cases more often than in customer drinks. Flake ice, much like nugget ice, holds cold temperatures well. As for me, until they make a machine that dispenses cherry soda flavored ice cubes, I am better off visiting the local watering hole for my favorite iced beverages.

Water Pumps

Replacing RV Water Pumps; Do it Yourself ShurFlo Remove and Installation

Executive Summary by Lance Winslow

Generally water is delivered when hooked up in an RV park by a garden hose into your coach. Of course then you must have a water pump usually electric in most all RVs to get the water to your shower and faucets. Unfortunately, these little temperamental devices, electric water pumps, do not last forever.

The most common pumps for RVs are the Shurflo models, which put out low volumes of water to help you not burn thru your water supply too fast. Replacing your water pump should not be too difficult and I recommend doing this yourself.

Water pumps seem to last about 1.5 years before needing replacement and they are relatively simple to install. I recommend installing a new one when you RV fresh water storage tanks are empty to help prevent dynamic pressure from flooding your work area during the removal and installation process.

Take the outlet hose off second and the inlet hose off the old unit last. Good luck on your install.

3. Remove other components as necessary to access the water pump.

4. *As the bolts and brackets are removed, they should be placed onto a service cart in order and a quick note written to make re-installation easier.

5. *On transverse mounted engines when there is not much clearance, many times a floor jack with a block of wood can be used under the oil pan to raise lower the engine as needed to make accessing bolts and other components easier.

6. If removing a timing belt, be sure of the timing marks before disassembly.

7. Remove the water pump bolts, take note of possible different lengths.

8. Remove the pump from the engine and clean the gasket material from the timing cover.

9. If the water pump uses a rubber seal there will be less clean up necessary.

10. After re-assembly the use of a Lisle fill funnel will help purge the air from the system.
